View available units and potential tenants
What this is
Two dashboard views help you fill vacancies. Available Units shows every unit that doesn’t currently have an active lease — in other words, the spaces you can rent out. Potential Tenants lists the applicants and prospects you’ve added but haven’t yet placed on a lease. Used together, they make it easy to match an open unit to an interested renter.
When to use it: Check these views when you have a vacancy to fill or are deciding who to place where. Available Units tells you what’s open; Potential Tenants tells you who’s interested.
Before you start
- Available Units populates from units you’ve added that don’t currently have an active lease. See Add units to a property.
- Potential Tenants populates from tenants whose status is set to Potential. See Add a tenant.
View available units
- In the left sidebar, click Dashboard.
- Find the Available Units statistic and click it to open the Available Units list.
- Review the open units, including their property name and address.
View potential tenants
- In the left sidebar, click Dashboard.
- Find the Potential Tenants statistic and click it to open the Potential Tenants list.
- Review your prospects, including their contact details and status.
What you’ll see
- The Available Units page lists each open unit with its property name and address. A unit drops off this list as soon as it has an active lease.
- The Potential Tenants page lists each prospect with their name, email, phone, and status. A tenant drops off this list once you change their status away from Potential.
Tips
- To get a unit to show as available, make sure it has no active lease attached.
- To get an applicant to show as potential, set their Status to Potential when you add or edit them.
- Use these lists together to move a prospect toward a signed lease — what’s open on one side, who’s interested on the other.
