What owners can see in the Owner Portal
What this is
When you enable Owner Portal access, the owner gets their own secure sign-in to review information about the properties you manage for them. The portal is a read-oriented window into data you already maintain — owners can look at their portfolio, but they can’t edit your records. This article explains exactly what they can see so you can set expectations before inviting them.
When to use this: Read this before enabling an owner’s portal, or when an owner asks what they’ll be able to do once they log in. To turn access on, see Enable Owner Portal access for an owner.
Before you start
- The owner must have portal access enabled. See Enable Owner Portal access for an owner.
- Owners only see information tied to the properties they own — never another owner’s data.
What’s available to the owner
After signing in, the owner sees these sections:
- Dashboard — a high-level overview of their portfolio at a glance.
- Properties — the properties they own, with the ability to open a property for more detail.
- Leases — the leases on their properties, with a summary view for each one.
- Financials — a financial overview for their properties, covering income, expenses, and related figures.
- My Account — their own contact details, where they can review their information and change their password.
Owners cannot add, edit, or delete any of your records from the portal — these views are for reviewing, not managing.
What you’ll see
Nothing changes on your side when an owner views the portal. You continue to manage all property data from the main app; the portal simply reflects the data you already keep up to date.
Tips
- Keep owner-linked properties, leases, and financial records current so the owner’s portal shows accurate figures.
- If an owner reports a missing property, confirm that property is linked to that owner in the property record — the portal only shows properties assigned to them.
- To stop access at any time, use Remove Owner From Portal on the owner’s Summary page.
