Tenant Ledger

Set your account Timezone

What this is

Your time zone tells the app which clock to use when it stamps and displays dates and times — so payment times, log entries, and schedules line up with your local clock instead of a server somewhere else. It’s a single account-wide setting.

When to use it: set it once to wherever you or your business operate. Check it first if timestamps ever look a few hours off.

Before you start

  • None.

Steps

  1. In the top navigation bar, click the Settings gear icon, then choose Settings.
  2. On the Settings page, click the Time Zone Settings tile.
  3. From the Time Zone dropdown, choose the zone for your location (for example, “Eastern Time”). The list is organized by region and offset, so pick the entry that matches your city or state.
  4. Check the Default Time shown below the dropdown - it previews the current time in the zone you just selected. If that time matches the real clock where you are, you’ve chosen correctly; if it’s off by a few hours, pick a different zone.
  5. Click Save.

What you’ll see

The page reloads with your new time zone selected, and the Default Time reflects your choice. Dates and times across the app now use this zone.

Tips

  • If timestamps look a few hours off, the time zone is the first place to check.
  • Time zone is separate from the date format and currency. Those live on the General Settings tile - see Configure General Settings.
