Tenant Ledger

Delete a rent increase

Deleting a rent increase removes that entry from the lease’s rent-change history. As with everything in TenantLedger, this is a soft delete: the entry is hidden from the lease, but its history is preserved.

A rent increase has no dependency blocks — you can delete it at any time. Use this to undo an increase you recorded by mistake, or that’s no longer correct.

Because there are no dependency blocks, you won’t see a “cannot delete” message — only a confirmation step.

Steps

  1. In the left sidebar, click Leases, then open the lease.

  2. On the Lease Summary page, click the Financials tab.

  3. In the Rent Increase history list, find the increase, open its Action menu, and choose Delete.

  4. Confirm the delete.

What you’ll see

You return to the Lease Summary, and the increase is gone from the Rent Increase history.

Tips

  • Deleting the history entry doesn’t change how rent bills going forward — it only removes the logged record. If you also adjusted a recurring charge for this increase, edit that separately. See Edit a recurring charge.
